Welcome to Kip McGrath Chorley
Nowadays, it is common for young people to unfairly compare themselves with others. They are constantly being told via TV, radio, internet and magazines, what is the 'ideal' size, weight or food; and the 'must have' fashion item, mobile phone or new gadget. The result may well be a loss of self-confidence; and in a class of 20+ at school, it is then easy to fall behind.
They may then develop limiting beliefs, such as 'I can't spell' or 'I can't do maths'. If that happens, many may stop trying for fear of making a mistake; or even worse, stop asking for help, for fear of looking 'stupid' to their classmates.
If you recognise any of these signs in your child, or you just feel he or she could be extended further, then you may be considering tuition. How do you find tutors who can inspire and motivate your child, whether he or she is struggling or excelling at school?
Our Website
By browsing our website, we aim to show you that if you are looking for a tutor in the Chorley area,
Kip McGrath
should be your first choice. The Garfield poster above is one of many we use in our centre and on our monthly
newsletters
to remind students that they can be themselves, away from
peer pressures at school. We want them to discover a new confidence,
which they can take back into the classroom and into other areas of their lives.
Throughout our website, wherever you see a photo of our students, our
tutors or our centre, it will be a 'thumbnail'. Just click to see a larger picture.
As well as more information
about us, you will be able to get answers to those who, what, when, how
and other questions parents ask about Kip tuition; as well as answers to those questions
students ask (those their parents don't ask!).
On many pages you will see snippets of testimonials from parents or students. Notice how many mention an increase in confidence. By following the links you can read what other parents say about us and see our 'star students' and read what they say.
See which pupils from seven Chorley primary schools have received our Kip Scholarship and read what the headteachers say.
Our tutors are all enthusiastic, fully qualified and experienced teachers. As we grow we are continually looking for teachers who share our passion to make learning exciting and help children to achieve their potential in literacy and numeracy.
So, if you are a parent wanting to give your child a brighter future, or a teacher looking to become a tutor, contact us using one of the methods opposite.
