Our 'Star Students' 2006
Each month Merit Awards are presented to selected students; judged on attendance, positive attitude and progress made in study. This is what some of our 'Stars' of 2006 say about us:
Matthew - February 2006 'Primary Star'
"Because maths is fun I enjoy it and I do well every weekend. Also you can learn maths better. You can go on the computer and play mega multiply and you always get good reports back. The next weekend it is all the same."
Ellen - April/May 2006 'Primary Star'
"I really like learning with Hilary at Kip McGrath, as she explains everything so I can understand. Even if I don't, she just explains again until I get it! Hilary never shouts if you get it wrong, she only shouts if you are being silly."
Sam - June 2006 'Secondary Star'
"I like it when I go back to school and I find it easier to do things that I found difficult before coming to Kip McGrath."
Katie - June 2006 'Primary Star'
"It's a fun way to learn. I really like Hilary, she doesn't shout when I get things wrong. I've learned to re-read over things. I'm getting higher levels at school and I'm not worried about putting my hand up anymore. It's boosted my confidence."
Ga Hou - September 2006 'Primary Star'
"I enjoy the spelling and times tables games on the computer and it has helped me at school."
Autumn - October 2006 'Primary Star'
"I know that I have done well at school because of Kip McGrath."
Megan - November 2006 'Primary Star'
"I like working on the computers. My spelling has really improved, which has helped me to read better."
Rachel - November 2006 'Secondary Star'
"I like going to Kip McGrath for the computers and being able to learn more. David is a good tutor and I have learned different aspects of maths. It has helped me with my confidence and helped me gain a lot more marks."
